CYBELE COLLECTION

Cybele is the Anatolian mother goddess, also known as the Goddess of mountains and the birth giver of nature. Greek culture adopted her into its pantheon during the sixth century BCE and attributed to her the qualities of mother earth, Gaia, and the protector of the city.

 

Her most dominant aspect, as perceived by the Hellenes, was a mysterious, exotic character linked to wildlife, nature and wildlife, particularly for lions.
