Tomyris was a Central Asian queen and a powerful and a dominant leader in the 6 th century BCE. Tomyris was a brilliant warrior and well versed in the art of war, protecting her kingdom from all who threatened it. Tomyris chose not to marry after the death of her first husband, preferring to preserve her independence and ability to lead her people to having a man rule her life.

 

Tomyris was a woman who lived ahead of her time and is, to me, a role-model of strength, wisdom and independence.

The jewelry she inspired me to design broadcast strength and presence which cannot be ignored. To independence and free choice!
